Women's Museum of California Education Center 


This educational space at the Joe and Vi Jacobs Center invites students and community groups to participate in interactive workshops centered on the history of the women's movement and the power of grassroots activism.


Individuals will walk away with an understanding of how to create positive change in their communities and will have built an appreciation for the women who have pushed for social change to occur.

Visit the WMC Education Center for free on the first Saturday of the month from 11:00 am - 4:00 pm or visit during the week by booking a group tour here.

First Saturdays

On the first Saturday of every month, the Women's Museum of California opens its doors to the public. 

Enjoy free admission to the Education Center from 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM. First Saturdays include activities for all ages, storytime in our Free Feminist Library, special monthly offerings, and more! 

Crafting Feminism:
Textiles of the Women's Movement


Throughout history women have created textiles to help promote women's rights whether it be sashes, banners, hats or pants, textiles have played a vital role for women fighting for equality. This exhibit explores those textiles and the movements that shaped them.

Guided Tours and Group Visits


Book a 90-minute interactive experience for your class, club, or organization at the Women's Museum of California's Education Center.

Led by trained WMC staff, our interactive workshops educated and inspire people of all ages on the contributions and accomplishments of diverse women throughout history and today.


Schools and Youth Organizations: $5 per student*

Other Groups: $15 per person
