Women's Equality Day: Reclaiming Our Rights

A celebration hosted by the Women's Museum of California and Women's March San Diego.

This August the Women's Museum of California and Women's March San Diego are inviting you to join our Women's Equality Day celebration as we highlight the status of gender equality in our community through a conversation with dynamic women leaders. The program will take place at the San Diego History Center in Balboa Park on Thursday, August 26th starting at 4:30 PM.

Join us as we show appreciation to the trailblazers who moved us closer to a more equal society, and to the leaders who continue the fight for equality for all women and girls.

Featuring:

  • Preview of Looking Back, Moving Forward: The Evolution of the Women’s Movement in the United States, a new Women's Museum of California exhibit

  • Cocktail reception

  • Panel discussion with women leaders

  • Spotlight of community organizations committed to gender equality

We are excited to announce that California Senate pro Tem Toni Atkins will be our keynote speaker.

As well as being in person, the program will be live-streamed across social media starting at 5:30 PM to ensure access for everyone.
